About EquiTalent
EquiTalent is a conceptual prototype for auditing racial bias in recruitment and hiring, built as an academic project for the Information Systems course at IF Goiano - Campus Ceres, 2025 second term. Its goal is to show, for educational purposes, how automated recruitment systems can reproduce racial bias present in historical hiring data, and how that algorithmic racism could be identified, monitored, and corrected.
What the prototype demonstrates
- Bias analysis: detects discriminatory patterns in historical hiring data.
- Real-time monitoring: a dashboard that tracks system decisions and flags racial disparities.
- Active correction: demonstrates adjusting weights and criteria for racial equity.
- Continuous auditing: periodic reports with diversity metrics and recommendations.
- Résumé analysis: a demo tool that flags bias and suggests more equitable versions.
Nature of the project
EquiTalent is an educational prototype. The indicators, percentages, and dashboard shown on the site (such as the equity index, biases detected, and candidates analyzed) are illustrative examples for demonstration purposes, not data from a real production audit or client metrics.
